The Story

Built for the people who run in.

Capital City started where the fire service started: with the leatherhead and the brass that crowns it.

The traditional helmet is more than gear. It is a fireman's mark. We restore it, convert it, and build it the way it was meant to be built. Brass shaped by hand. Leather that earns its scars. No shortcuts that show up on the fireground.

"Tried and true" is not a slogan. It is the standard the work has to pass.

Out of Hartford, we serve departments and firefighters across the country. Same-day service is available. Shop visits welcome. You send us your helmet, we treat it like ours.
